Privacy and analytics
How website measurements and optional analytics work.
Your choice
We ask before using visitor analytics cookies. Accept allows visitor tracking in this browser; Reject leaves it off without limiting the site. Anonymous measurements continue after Reject unless you turn them off separately below. Change your visitor-tracking choice here or in Settings inside the app. A choice lasts up to 180 days. New purposes require a new explanation and appropriate consent.
Aggregate website measurements
When enabled, basic visit counts and performance measurements may begin before you make a choice and continue after Reject unless you opt out. Accept / Reject controls visitor tracking only. We use these measurements only to improve this site. They do not recognise you or link visits to your account. They cannot tell us how many people return.
The measurement payload contains only a pageview count or a performance quality band. It contains no visitor identifier, page address, device details or account information. Requests omit cookies and referrers. Our API immediately adds each measurement to a daily total; it does not retain an individual measurement record. Only daily totals are sent to PostHog. We cannot locate an individual visit in those totals.
Network providers necessarily process IP addresses and standard HTTP headers to deliver requests. Aggregate measurement storage does not contain those details. Daily maintenance removes local aggregate counters after six completed UTC dates; backups can persist longer. PostHog holds the exported totals for trend reporting. Accept / Reject does not reload the page or stop anonymous performance measurement. Earlier Reject choices made under the previous combined notice remain effective until you turn anonymous measurements on or the saved choice expires.
Anonymous measurements are currently disabled on this site.
You can turn anonymous measurements off here or in Settings → General, free of charge. The essential wog_aggregate_preference cookie remembers this separate browser choice for up to 180 days, without a visitor identifier. Opting out stops new measurements without reloading the page. Observers may still calculate locally, but later results are discarded; they do not load on the next visit. If you turn measurements back on, visit counts resume and performance measurement resumes on the next full page load. Clearing this site's storage removes the saved choice.
What analytics collects
With your consent, we use PostHog to count page visits, new and returning visitors, and use of connections, imports, and analysis. We send general page routes and successful submission events, rather than business records, filenames, form contents, or URL parameters. An analysis submission does not mean the analysis has completed.
A random visitor identifier recognises this browser. When you sign in, a separate random analytics identity links consenting activity across browsers and devices. Your active account identifier helps measure product usage. These identifiers remain personal data. We do not use analytics for advertising, session recordings, or general click tracking.
After acceptance, Web Vitals reports numerical page-loading, responsiveness and layout stability measurements. These can include timings the browser buffered earlier in this page load. We do not send element details or resource URLs with these measurements.
Cookies and withdrawal
The essential wog_analytics_consent cookie remembers your choice, notice version, time, expiry, consent revision, and the internal user scope when signed in. After Accept, a secure HttpOnly cookie holds an analytics grant; page scripts cannot read its secret. These cookies are restricted to this hostname. Routine visits do not extend your consent.
Rejecting after acceptance stops visitor tracking in this browser and requests deletion of linked visitor analytics, including consenting activity on other browsers and devices. Once our server receives it, it blocks further events from those grants. Deletion at PostHog is asynchronous and needs verification; we do not promise immediate erasure. Later acceptance starts a fresh analytics identity. Logout keeps your saved privacy choices and their original expiry, but pauses visitor tracking without requesting deletion of the linked history. A saved Accept resumes visitor tracking when you sign in, after verifying the current user, or when you explicitly Accept again. Login does not extend the saved expiry or override a withdrawal. The grant remains available for a later Reject.
If withdrawal cannot reach our server, we retain an essential pending-request marker and retry when you return or reconnect. A revoked HttpOnly grant remains only as a receipt for retrying the request until it expires or a new acceptance replaces it; it cannot send analytics. Clearing browser storage while offline can prevent delivery. Contact us if a withdrawal stays pending. We retain only the metadata needed to complete and verify erasure.
Visitor withdrawal does not reload your page. Its performance observers may continue calculating locally until the page closes, but their later results are discarded. They do not start on a new page with Reject remembered. Accepting again on the same page resumes visitor analytics, but its Web Vitals waits for the next full page load. Separate anonymous measurements continue after visitor withdrawal.
Processing and your rights
CodeAim Limited operates WorkOrderGuard. Optional analytics uses consent as its basis. When enabled, consented analytics is forwarded by our server to our PostHog EU project, without your browser IP address or HTTP headers. Our network providers still process IP addresses to deliver requests. EU hosting alone does not rule out international processing by subprocessors. We keep analytics only for as long as needed to measure use of WorkOrderGuard, understand returning visits and assess performance changes. We regularly review whether older data is still needed for these purposes and delete data that is no longer needed.
To ask about your data, request access or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email team@workorderguard.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Necessary authentication and product processing are separate from this optional analytics choice.
